The idea of forming milk producers’ cooperative societies in the village as milk
producer as its member has revolutionized the dairy industry in India. It has been
recognized as an important instrument to bring about socio-economic transformation
and to strengthen the rural economy. It is also the means of livelihood for small,
marginal farmers and landless labourers of our district. To meet the growing demand
for milk from domestic sources we have to keep good milch animals to increase the
productivity. Though we have achieved remarkable success in milk procurement we
have to keep it going. In our efforts to achieve self-sufficient in milk we are
committed to follow the path laid down by our predecessors.
